I pursue research in various fields of machine learning in particular natural language processing, sequential prediction, matrix factorization, and collaborative filtering. I focus on obtaining a concise and effective representations while exploiting domain knowledge and sequential nature of data.
I joined Google Research as a Software Engineer focusing on on-device machine learning. I recently finished my Computer Science PhD at Georgia Tech under the supervision of Professor. Guy Lebanon and Professor. Haesun Park. I received bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Seoul National University in 2009 and master's degree in Computer Science at Georgia Tech.
